There are so many fun things to do while on vacation in Roatan! If you’re here for a dive vacation, then you already know that we are surrounded by the world’s second largest barrier reef system, the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. This coral reef is what put Roatan on the tourism map, and it’s still the center of our favorite things to do in Roatan.On land, there are countless fun things to do in Roatan! Soar through the jungle on a canopy zipline tour, explore one of our wonderful animal rescue centers, or enjoy a horseback ride along the beach.
There are family-friendly activities, activities to get your heart racing, and our favorite daily activity: watching another stunning sunset over the Caribbean Sea.

Information About the Weather in Roatan, Bay Islands
Believe it or not, there are seasons on Roatan. During the dry season, weather is typically sunny, hot, and humid. During rainy season, there can be several downpours during the day, often beginning and ending abruptly.The "summer" rainy season is usually short-lived and happens during June and July, during which the temperatures are typically fairly hot.
The winter rainy season is much cooler, usually beginning in October and drying out in February. Strong winds often accompany the rain and cooler weather, and a light jacket may be necessary during this time. Light rain gear is a good idea during the rainy season.
Don’t forget! Roatan is a tropical environment, so be sure to bring your sunscreen and bug spray!
